Message from Dr. Mayer

Dear friends,

As I celebrate my 35th year of dentistry, 32 of which have been here in Homewood, I want to thank all of you who have given me the privilege of being your dentist. Your trust and confidence in me and my staff providing dental care has been both professionally rewarding and personally humbling. The relationships that I have had with so many of you has been a big part of my life and I will forever be grateful to consider you all friends. It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement from my practice. As my patients’ welfare has always been one of my primary concerns, I will be staying on part-time for a while to ensure a smooth transition.

In an effort for our patients to continue to receive the best possible dental care, I am pleased to introduce Dr. Alexander Shore D.D.S. to take over my practice. Dr. Shore is a 2019 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. The University of Michigan is the number one ranked dental school in the United States, he most recently was awarded a “Mastership” Certification from International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Shore is an avid Michigan State Spartan and enjoys golf, cooking and traveling. Coincidentally he is actually the same age as I was when I opened my practice here in Homewood. I am confident that Dr. Shore will be an excellent dentist and replacement for me. Dr. Shore is very excited about taking over my practice and I feel fortunate to have found him.
